About my family tree:

The definitive version of my ancestry information is in my Woodall–Simmons Tree on Ancestry.co.uk (subscription required). You can find me by doing a Member Search for Douglas Woodall: I am the one from Nottinghamshire, England, with a photo and lots of trees.

My tree on this site lists all my known direct ancestors and their children and (very briefly) grandchildren. There are two overlapping family trees, one official (following the paper trail of official documents) and the other biological. This is because I now know that I am illegitimate (see my biological ancestry). In both trees, names of direct ancestors are on a pink background if I "know" (with high probability, from DNA tests) that we are biologically related; on a grey background if I know that we are not biologically related; and on a white background if I have no strong evidence either way.

From my family tree, you can click on names, numbers or down-arrows to get more information, or on up-arrows to access earlier generations. N.B. most of the information is in popup windows, and so you won't be able to see it if you have got popups blocked in your browser, unless you override the blocking (e.g., by holding down the Ctrl key when you click on anything), if your browser allows you to do that.

All events (births, marriages and deaths) took place in England, United Kingdom, unless stated otherwise. Sources are indicated by the following abbreviations.
